Free Body Shop Estimates in Export, PA
Your insurer may have asked you to photograph the damage with an app and sent back a number the same afternoon. That number is a starting position, not an estimate, and it is almost always low. A photograph cannot show what a bumper cover is hiding.
What a real estimate contains
Ours is a line-by-line document: every part with its number and whether it is new, remanufactured, or used; the labor operations with the hours assigned to each; refinish time; materials; and any sublet work such as glass or calibration. You can read it, question any line, and take it to another auto body shop for comparison. That is the point of putting it in writing.
If a line does not make sense to you, ask. We would rather spend ten minutes explaining a labor operation than have you wondering what you paid for.
Why the first number usually changes
Almost every meaningful collision job produces a supplement. Once the panels come off, damage appears that nobody could have seen: a bent bracket, a cracked absorber, a sensor knocked out of position. This is normal and expected. We photograph it, document it against the manufacturer's procedures, and take it to your adjuster ourselves rather than asking you to make the case.
A shop that promises the first number will not move is either padding it or planning to leave something out.
No obligation, and we mean it
There is no charge and no pressure. Some people come in to find out whether the damage is worth claiming at all, decide it is not, and leave. That is a perfectly good outcome.
