Auto Paint Refinishing in Export, PA
Our paint technicians are manufacturer-trained on the PPG system we spray. That matters less as a credential than as a habit: it means somebody in this building knows the datasheet numbers for flash time, film build, and cure temperature, and treats them as requirements rather than suggestions.
Color is not a lookup
The code on your door jamb tells us where to start and nothing more. Production variance between assembly plants is real, and Western Pennsylvania sun and road salt keep working on the pigment for as long as you own the car. So we spray out test cards, take them outside, and hold them against your actual panel until the difference stops being visible. Metallics get checked from several angles, because flake orientation changes what your eye reports.
Then the color is blended into the neighboring panels and the clear carried to a natural break. No visible edge anywhere on the vehicle. A repair confined neatly to the damaged panel is a repair you can find from across a parking lot, and it is the fastest way to spot an auto body shop cutting refinish time.
Full restorations
Jeff took in cars pulled out of the weeds alongside new Mercedes, and we still do both. A bare-metal restoration is a different animal from a collision refinish: everything comes off, the shell is worked flat, and the paint goes on a body that has been made straight first rather than made shiny first. It takes as long as it takes.
What we will not do
We will not spot-shoot a panel and call it blended, and we will not lay color over metalwork that is not finished. Both look acceptable at pickup and neither survives a year.
Bring it by 2823 RT 66 in Export and we will look at it outdoors with you. Estimates are free.
